The Sweet Compromise of Neutrality

"John MacArthur says it is 'not necessarily' wrong to send your child to an institution that was created to defy God, continues to defy God, and succeeds abundantly in separating children from the faith of their parents...Contrary to MacArthur’s claims, public schools – and many Christian private schools – are pagan seminaries...Only a minister who is willing to challenge the sin of the multitudes is a true minister; the minister who has accepted the sweet compromise of moral neutrality is only an impostor..." ~Bojidar Marinov, The Sweet Compromise of Neutrality

Yes, my father worked for over 30 years as a teacher, but never sent us to government school except to teach his students about beekeeping. The scripture says, Blessed is the man who walks *not* in the council of the ungodly. How much more we should not send young children to spend 14 thousand seat hours in the council of the ungodly. The schools are a mission field, but not for young children. I know high school and college age students who go to make a difference and are a bright light in community. ~Regina

Constitution Day

On Sept. 17th 1787, the U.S. Constitution was signed by our founding fathers. We celebrate its Biblical roots, especially the structure of a republic patterned after the Hebrew Republic before the Israelites demanded a King. We also celebrate the many clauses that reflect Biblical law. But the Constitution is not like the Bible - it isn't perfect, is not inspired, and thus has errors. America's solution is more spiritual than it is Constitutional - if we don't return to the God of the Bible, we won't restore the Constitution. ~Paul Jehle

Elect

“We give our hand to every man that loves the Lord Jesus Christ, be he what he may or who he may. The doctrine of election, like the great act of election itself, is intended to divide, not between Israel and Israel, but between Israel and the Egyptians, not between saint and saint, but between saints and the children of the world. A man may be evidently of God’s chosen family, and yet though elected, may not believe in the doctrine of election. I hold that there are many savingly called, who do not believe in effectual calling, and that there are a great many who persevere to the end, who do not believe in the doctrine of final perseverance. We do hope the hearts of many are a great deal better than their heads. We do not set their fallacies down to any willfull opposition to the truth as it is in Jesus but simply to an error in their judgments, which we pray God to correct. We hope that if they think us mistaken too, they will reciprocate the same Christian courtesy; and when we meet around the cross, we hope that we shall ever feel that we are one in Christ Jesus.” ~C.H. Spurgeon

Two Sisters Cookbook

"What we discovered has given us a new understanding of how to achieve and maintain good health. Each item of food that we consume produces either an alkaline or an acid effect in our systems. If our diet is high in acid-producing foods, the body will continue to maintain the blood's delicate pH balance through a process of neutralizing the acid. The blood maintains this balance by tapping into the body's alkaline reserves. These alkaline reserves are primarily found in the form of minerals that make up the structure of most of our organs and our bones. The result of a diet high in acid-producing foods is a weakening of the body's systems and a susceptibility to the common maladies of modern Americans. When the body robs itself of minerals, the likelihood of heart disease, cancer, and osteoporosis increases."

Bible Translations Compared

Travis Wales addressed the topic of translations:
 Class 2 (How to compare Bible Translations) - SermonAudio.com

Literal or Formal Equivalents give word for word renditions.

King James Bible is the most used. The limitation is the archaic language. Many tools are tied to it, but not as useful  [for Travis] for just reading.

NKJV is also translated from the same manuscripts without adding modern interpretation in 1980's by 119 scholars.

NASB uses the Alexandrian Text, not the majority text but believed to be an older manuscript translated in 1971 updated in 1995, stays with the flow of the Greek not the English.

ESV also uses the Alexandrian Text.
Amplified Bible also uses Alexandrian Text with word definitions in brackets. This can help clarify more difficult words.

Melody turns 17

“Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens;

Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
Your righteousness is like the great mountains;
Your judgments are a great deep;
O Lord, You preserve man and beast.
How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!
Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.”

Ron Paul Highlights in 9/7/2011 Presidential Debate

Paul zeroed in on the accusation that Perry tried to forcibly inoculate 12-year-old girls against HPV by executive order. One gal bled to death from the injection. Ninety state lawmakers already have signed on as co-sponsors to a plan that would overturn Perry's executive order. STD vaccine opposition builds in Texas

Remember...

‎"When the sky is overcast and a violent storm breaks, the darkness and thunder terrify us and we think everything is in a state of confusion, when, in fact, everything goes on serenely up above. In the same way, when our lives are in turmoil so that we can’t think straight, we should still believe that God, in the pure light of His justice and wisdom, keeps our problems under His control…”

“The fear of man brings a snare but he who trusts in the Lord will be established”

This should be the rally cry, "No king but King Jesus." It is the single minded duty of the Christian to bring all things under the authority of Christ and His dominion, to establish Christian order.

Jesus will come back on His time. We should not try to play god determining when.

“Is that the legacy you want to leave to your children, riding the prophetic roller-coaster following false prophets over the cliff?” -Gary DeMar

They have sold our future for a mess of prophetic pottage at the expense of our children’s heritage which God will not bless.

As R. J. Rushdoony said, “We must delight in the anticipation of a godly order. We must also do it in fear of the consequences if we do not. Either we work
to establish Christian order or we will go down into the hell of total statism.”

“Raise your children as generals in the Lord’s army. Give your children a long-term vision. It stands as a continual reminder of family fruitfulness...Give your children a two hundred year plan so their vision does not die with you..." ~Geoff Botkin

We are about raising kingdom driven children that are purposeful, know where they are going, dominion oriented whose lives are joyful, fruitful, blessed, and are steered by the word of God. They pass on their legacy to their children so that their children are not part of the apostasy of covenant-breaking people that are hopeless, purposeless, without direction.

Do not fear humanist men who build up their empires and they fall down, but God’s kingdom grows and covers the earth. He liberates man internally and externally. He changes the heart which changes the family, which changes the culture, and ultimately the world.

When we are faithful to God, we shine out like stars in the universe. As Paul Jehle stated: "Good works are contagious."

We’re here to define the culture, not be defined by the culture.

Nuts

  • Meat is a low GL food, but higher meat consumption is associated with reduced lifespan and increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes; the diabetes risk is likely due to weight gain and AGE content.  A diabetic diet emphasizing meat sacrifices long-term health for short-term glycemic control.
  • Whole grain products and starchy vegetables. Whole grain intake is indeed associated with reduced risk of diabetes, probably due to fiber content.  A low fat vegan diet emphasizing these foods in place of refined carbohydrates has shown some success with improving glycemic control. However, these diets tend to increase triglyceride levels (a risk factor for heart disease), and cooked grains and starches are not ideal calorie sources for diabetics because they still have a significant GL.
